Grows up to 4 m long. The flowers are yellowish-white with a reddish exterior, bloom in June. Fruits are dark red, poisonous berries. Especially decorative is the variety "Serotina" - it has slightly narrower leaves, flowers yellowish, dark purple on the outside, later they fade lighter. Blooms in August, September.
