Tree up to 30 m high with a conical crown and strictly arranged horizontal branches. Bluish-gray to silvery-blue, less often dark green needles. Many ornamental forms are difficult to distinguish (as well as their seedlings, which often at least partially retain the characteristics of the mother plant).
