In the wild grows in China. Summer-green, 2-3 m high, strongly growing with long young shoots, which freeze every year in Latvia, but regrow well in spring. Shoots slightly hairy. Leaves lanceolate, 15 -25 cm long, finely toothed, pointed, dark green on the surface, almost naked, gray on the underside. The flowers are, fragrant. Blooms from July to October. Very decorative.
