In the wild grows in the east coast of North America. Withstands up to -29° C, zone 5. The tree is fantastically decorative, blooms all summer with white fragrant inflorescences, burgundy leaves in autumn. Height 10-20m tall, with a shallow root system. It is advisable not to plant anything in the root zone so that there is no competition. Slow growing. Planted in a sunny place, in well-drained, fertile, acidic soil.
